PMI IS IN THE PROCESS OF INSTALLING A 1000 TON PRESS

Our first step in the process of the 1000 ton press installation is to dig a hole 17 feet deep, and 25 foot by 25 foot.  Then we poured the floor with concrete and re-enforced rebar.  Up to this step, this has taken three days.

These are the uprights for the press that we are re-conditioning.

The next step of our process is putting re-enforced rebar to get ready for the walls to be poured.  There is over 1 mile of rebar, and it will take 130 yards to pour the walls with cement.

Here they are re-enforcing the walls before the pour with 2x12's cross bracing every 18" all the way to the top to re-enforce the walls to prevent collapsing when the cement is poured.

Here we are pumping cement for the walls.

This picture if the crown or top of the press.  The weight is 120,000 pounds.

(WOW, WHAT A TRUCK)

There was three other trucks involved in the convoy which carried the base which weighed 64,000 pounds, the ram which weighed 40,000 pounds, and a truck with miscelanious parts.

At the same time that we were pouring the walls, we were unloading the trucks which will take two cranes.  The following pictures will demonstrate how we coordinated this all happening the same day.

(GREAT PLANNING)
